Assistant Pool Manager
Overview It is the responsibility of the Assistant Pool Manager to supervise all aspects of the Pool operation ensuring that guests receive prompt and courteous service, responsible for employee scheduling, and service recovery situations. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity). Responsibilities Establish and maintain the policies and procedures of the Pool Department. Provide and promote positive service standards including, but not limited to, courtesies, sincerity and enthusiasm to all guests of the Pool and Cabanas. Assist with handling of all personnel functions including but not limited to interviewing, hiring, termination, payroll and recruitment. Implement and maintain training of new personnel and developmental training of all staff. Establish and maintain communication lines within the department and between other departments within the hotel. Maintain employee record files on all employees including certifications, licensing, and progressive discipline. Establish and evaluate performance levels of all employees. Ensure high productivity of all employees developing effective scheduling and staffing levels. Perform lifeguard duties including but not limited to performing CPR, Heimlich Maneuver, and basic First-Aid in non-emergency situations as required. Monitor and maintain a clean and safe pool area, including the enforcement of all safety rules and regulations for the pool and ensuring that all lifesaving equipment is in proper order and location. Monitor inventory control of towels, pool supplies and Cabana amenities. Supervise and oversee the Cabana operations as related to the policies and procedures of the department. Work directly with Casino Marketing in establishing and maintaining Cabana rental charge procedures. Provides services to guests utilizing the Cabanas, including but not limited to providing refreshments, snack and amenities. Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by the Pool Operations Manager. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Ability to manage employees, training and coaching skills with evidence of developing exceptionally motivated teams. Excellent analytical, problem solving, administrative, multi-tasking, organization and prioritization skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), fluent English and articulate. Ability to work efficiently, independently and cohesively, consistently producing quality results. Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications required; Spa Soft experience preferred. Bachelor’s or related degree preferred. 5 years’ experience. Minimum age requirement is 21 Must have CPR/FIRSTAID/LIFE-SAV licensing. Must have NV Alcohol Awareness Training and Food Handling cards.
