Japan Fixed Income Division’s Special Situations Group (SSG) is looking for a full-time/part-time assistant to provide support.
About the Role:
SSG provides solutions to various illiquid credit issues. The desk specializes in illiquid risk-taking and unconventional types of financing including the following:
Secondary distressed tradingIlliquid credit risk hedging solutionsHigh-yield/mezzanine financing for corporates, buyouts, real estates, and illiquid assetsArranging bespoke financingThe assistant will be expected to own the following functions at SSG:
Administrative tasks including taking client calls; scheduling meetings/calls/appointments; booking business travels and client meals; managing vendor invoices; processing expenses at both the group and individual levels; arranging courier packages; arranging gifts/flowers/telegraphs; printing marketing materials; uploading client data onto firm system from business cards; storing hard copy data at onsite storages and offsite warehouse; assisting in IT troubleshootingParalegal and operational tasks including proofreading and preparing final copies of contracts; arranging signatures; coordinating with Operations on direct money transfers to counterparties; filing all deal-related contracts and documents at onsite safe; maintaining electronic records of documents; assisting account opening and KYC proceduresBusiness support tasks including checking financial reports and data; liaising with clients on data/documents; inputting basic financial data; acquiring legal registries; onboarding new vendors and employees to firm; maintaining personal information records; maintaining third party servicesThe assistant will coordinate with other divisions for some tasks (mainly Legal and Compliance, Operations, Technology). The assistant will also coordinate and provide help to other administrative and non-market risk functions at Fixed Income Division as necessary.
