FLSA Status: Exempt\n

Summary Directs and coordinates the production of company product(s) in the absence of the Production Manager by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. When Production Manager is on site, the Assistant follows and supports the manager's direction.\n

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.\n\nProvides on the job guidance and training to Foreman.\nEnforces safety policies with Foremen and production employees.\nCoordinates personnel management with Human Resources department.\nCoordinates production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.\nReviews and analyzes production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications and operating or production problems.\nDevelops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.\nRevises production schedules and priorities as result of equipment failure or operating problems.\nConsults with engineering personnel relative to modification of machines and equipment in order to improve production and quality of products.\n\n

Supervisory Responsibilities \n

Manages subordinate supervisors who supervise the plant employees when the Production Manager is unavailable. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.\n

Education and\/or Experience \n

Degree\/certificate from a college or technical school; or 3 years related experience and\/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\n

Qualifications \n\nMust understand the value of our greatest asset, our team of Champions! \nMust be willing to coach and counsel to help each member of the team achieve their full potential\nMust possess excellent organizational skills\nMust have strong and clear communication skills\nProblem-solving and analytical skills along with an ability to lead a large team\nShould possess relevant computer and Microsoft experience\nMust be flexible enough to work under stringent deadlines and high work pressure on a regular basis.\n\n
