The Assistant Production Supervisor directs and motivates production team members, and assist in maintaining uniform production of safe, quality products at the lowest cost. In the absence of the Production Supervisor, this position must be able to run the production line and ensure that an adequate number of trained team members are on the line to produce hamburgers, while also making sure team members follow company GMP’s, SQF, HACCP and all food safety regulations. Assistant Production Supervisors are expected to uphold and demonstrate the Company’s Core Values. What we are looking for
High School diploma or GED;Prior experience working on a manufacturing food production line;Prior supervisory experience dealing with team member concerns while maintaining professionalism and working as a team;Knowledge of how all production equipment operates (including the ERP system) and ability to function efficiently at any of the line positions;Directing and motivating team members and ensuring everyone follows our GMPs and Values and Behaviors;Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Calmness under pressure and handling the stress associated with issues/problems;Ability to troubleshoot problems and be able to make on the spot decisions to keep equipment running;Ability to successfully complete on-the-job training; andMust be flexible to work hours to meet the needs of the plant, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
What you will do
Continual monitoring of floor which includes equipment, product, and team members to ensure that production runs smoothly; this includes working the line during breaks and lunches;Oversee the set up and shut down of the production equipment and raw materials at the beginning and end of the production shift, following established procedures;Schedule and oversee the training of new team members; both WCD and temporaries;Supervise team members to ensure they know and follow all policies, procedures, SOP’s, and GMP’s, while complying with all established safety guidelines;Check all finished products in WMS, correct number per code date, proper slot placement, and correct pallet sheets/LPN and location;Maintain positives employee relationships with team members and managers based on respect and cooperation (team effort);Comply with incident reporting policies and procedures;Adhere to Plant’s security and safety policies and procedures; andCommunicate effectively with customers and all levels of the organization in a professional manner, display a positive demeanor and be responsive to the teams’ needs.
