Assistant Professor, CE Track, Division of Adolescent Medicine
Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Adolescent Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Board certified/eligible in Pediatrics or Internal Medicine and Adolescent Medicine strongly preferred. Teaching responsibilities may include inpatient and/or outpatient clinical and teaching responsibilities. Clinical responsibilities may include inpatient and/or outpatient primary and specialty care in Adolescent Medicine at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and participate in clinical education of medical students, residents and fellows as a member of the Craig-Dalsimer Division of Adolescent Medicine. Multiple sites of practice are available including a primary care practice, specialty care satellite locations and inpatient units at CHOP and a behavioral health hospital. Expectations will be to develop and lead a clinical research program in Adolescent Medicine and Young Adult Health funded by career development and/or independent research funding. Research or scholarship responsibilities may include focusing on adolescent or young adult health research in areas such as parent-teen relationships and health, eating disorders, STI and HIV care/prevention, sexual/gender minority youth, substance use, health disparities, and/or medical education. Opportunities for collaborative clinical research are available related to education, continuous quality improvement, health services, health disparities, resiliency, STIs/HIV, pregnancy prevention, smoking, substance use, gender, eating disorders, weight regulation, depression and suicide. Leadership positions in these areas may also be available. We are seeking candidates with a strong record of clinical research productivity and scholarship demonstrating a national reputation.
