Position Summary:
The Department of History at Florida Atlantic University invites applications for an appointment in Digital and Public History at the rank of assistant professor, with a preference for a historian of the late nineteenth and twentieth century United States. Candidates will exhibit excellence in research and teaching and demonstrate a commitment to pursuing externally funded grants.
The teaching load for this position is 2-3. The successful candidate will teach lower-division surveys, including AMH 2010: U.S. History to 1877, and/or AMH 2020: U.S. History since 1877, as well as upper-division undergraduate and graduate courses in their field of specialization. The successful applicant will contribute to the minor in Museums, Archives, and Public History, and may also participate in the Comparative Studies PhD program. In addition, the successful candidate will assist with the final installation and design of courses for the digital history lab to be established in the new Kurt and Marilyn Wallach Holocaust and Jewish Studies Building.
