Our vibrant conservatory training program is designed for students focused on honing their artistry for the music profession.

We are seeking a colleague who can teach courses in Applied Piano, Piano Pedagogy, Piano Literature, and Keyboard Musicianship. They will also serve as coordinator of the Collaborative Piano staff. They are expected to recruit and retain a robust studio of piano majors (Performance and Music Education Majors).

Minimum Qualifications A terminal degree in music or related field anticipated by the start date.


Preferred Qualifications Successful teaching experience at the College/University level. Professional experience as a performing Pianist. Demonstrated success in recruiting piano majors and minors. A record of creative work that supports the curricular goals of mentoring students in successful performance and/or pedagogical careers, and the ability to create a dynamic learning environment that values instructor/student interaction. A strong background in student-centered approaches to teaching including experience in and/or commitment to working with students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles, and/or first-generation, BIPOC, queer-identifying and/or disabled university/college students.
