Key Responsibilities:
+ Develop independent, collaborative and funded cancer research.
+ Publish research manuscripts in leading peer-reviewed journals.

+ A doctoral degree in epidemiology, or a related discipline.
+ Experience in establishing an independent, externally funded program of research.

The Department of Epidemiology in the Colorado School of Public Health (CSPH) invites applications for one or more tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor. The Department's goal is to build a multi-disciplinary faculty engaged in cutting edge epidemiologic and public health research and training. We are seeking faculty who will engage in collaborative, multidisciplinary initiatives in cancer epidemiology. We are interested in candidates with deep expertise in cancer screening, and particular expertise in national cancer screening trials, cancer social epidemiology, and cancer health disparities epidemiology. The successful candidate(s) will conduct rigorous, externally funded research, and will teach, advise, and mentor students in one or more of the department's graduate degree programs. Applicants should have exceptional methodological skills in epidemiological research, a record of scholarly publications, and evidence of success or ability in obtaining extramural research funding. Applicants also should have strong potential for success in graduate-level teaching and student advising, with an ability to foster supportive and inclusive learning environments for students with diverse backgrounds, identities, and perspectives.
- this role is expected to work onsite on the Anschutz Medical Campus located in Aurora, Colorado for a hybrid schedule of 2-3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.
The Department of Epidemiology supports a multidisciplinary group of research-intensive faculty members and offers graduate education through MPH, MS, DrPH and PhD programs in epidemiology. Faculty enjoy rich opportunities for collaboration with numerous academic units affiliated with the $5 billion state-of-the art Anschutz Medical Campus.Additionally, there is strong collaboration with the UCCC, an NCI-designated Consortium Cancer Center involving faculty at CU Denver, Colorado State University, CU Boulder, and Kaiser Permanente Colorado. The UCCC is the only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in the Rocky Mountain region, serving a population of approximately 8 million. The UCCC has four research programs and the most relevant for this position is the Cancer Prevention & Control research program. UCCC membership in the Cancer Prevention & Control program offers opportunities for multidisciplinary collaborations within or between research programs, competitive pilot funding support, and discount access to Shared Resources such as population health, animal imaging, biostatistics and bioinformatics, genomics, and a tissue biorepository.
