The Department of English at the University of Maryland College Park invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor specializing in Asian American and Pacific Islander literature and culture to begin in August 2025 Appropriate secondary fields may include critical race theory Indigenous and Pacific studies Global Asian studies womens gender and sexuality studies queer theory and performance and media studies The successful candidate must have a PhD in English or a related field by July 1 2025 Successful candidates will be expected to publish actively teach two courses per semester direct dissertations comprehensive exams capstone projects and honors theses and offer service to the Department the College and the University
