**Salary Range or Pay Grade**
$85,000-$130,000
**Description**
The Department of Urology is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Assistant Professor to join our team. This position is dedicated to advancing research in urology with a specific emphasis on health services and health equity. The successful candidate will lead research projects that explore disparities in urologic care, evaluate health service delivery models, and contribute to policy recommendations aimed at improving access and outcomes for diverse populations.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ **Conduct Research:** Lead and manage independent and collaborative research projects focusing on health services, health equity, and urology. Design studies, collect and analyze data, and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals
+ **Grant Writing:** Develop and submit grant proposals to secure funding for research projects. Manage funded research projects and ensure compliance with grant requirements
+ **Collaborate:** Work closely with other researchers, clinicians, and policymakers within and outside the institution to advance research goals. Engage in interdisciplinary collaborations to enhance the impact of research findings
+ **Mentorship:** Provide guidance and mentorship to junior researchers, graduate students, and fellows involved in urology research
+ **Teaching:** Contribute to teaching and training in health services research, health equity, and urology as part of the department’s educational mission
+ **Community Engagement:** Engage with community organizations and stakeholders to translate research findings into actionable strategies for improving health equity and access to urologic care
+ **Service:** Participate in departmental, institutional, and professional service activities. Contribute to committees, working groups, and academic events

**Salary Range:**
This range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this position. Individual rates will be set within this range and will be determined by considering factors including but not limited to market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
**Qualifications**
+ **Education:** Doctoral degree (PhD, MD, or equivalent) in a relevant field (e.g., Health Services Research, Public Health, Epidemiology, Urology)
+ **Experience:** Demonstrated experience in conducting research related to health services, health equity, and urology. A proven track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals and successful grant writing is essential
+ **Skills:** Strong analytical skills, proficiency in research methodologies, and expertise in quantitative and/or qualitative analysis. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
+ **Commitment:** A strong commitment to advancing health equity and improving health services in urology. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
