The successful candidate will focus efforts in developing research, outreach and teaching programs related to agricultural education and literacy. The successful candidate will: + Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses. Topics are negotiable based on departmental needs and personal interests + Mentor undergraduate and graduate students + Have the ability to secure external funds to build a nationally recognized research program in one or more fields within agricultural education + Publish in highly ranked peer-reviewed journals appropriate to the individual’s research focus + Engage in service/outreach commensurate with interest, experience, and departmental needs Conditions of EmploymentPre-employment Criminal Background Check (required for new hires), Valid Driver’s License, Travel Required Job Qualifications + Ph.D. in agricultural education, agricultural literacy or related field completed no later than summer 2025 + Evidence of effective teaching + Evidence or demonstrated interest in research related to agricultural education, agricultural literacy or related fields + Demonstrated interest in leading programs related to agricultural education and/or agricultural literacy + Must have a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain a driver’s license or access to a licensed driver by the employment start date (frequent travel between campuses and across state) Preferred Job Qualifications + Evidence of working on teams, particularly in interdisciplinary agricultural work + Evidence of collaborative and integrated efforts across agricultural education disciplines + Evidence of or demonstrated interest in working with diverse audiences in teaching, research, and/or outreach efforts to advance agricultural literacy impact across Colorado Special Instructions to Applicants To apply, the following material must be uploaded to the application: + Cover Letter + CV + Statement of Teaching Philosophy (limit to 5 pages).
