The Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree.
Teaching responsibilities may include teaching and supervising medical students, residents and/or other trainees including psychiatric nurse practitioner students.
Clinical responsibilities may include direction and supervision of all activities for psychiatric inpatients at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, including patient care, establishment of diagnosis, development of treatment plans, documentation of treatment services and provision of direct ongoing care and services. Additional clinical responsibilities may include provision of psychiatric consultations to patients hospitalized on the various services of the general hospital with appropriate follow-up as indicated as well as provision of outpatient psychiatric care at Penn Total Recovery.
Responsibilities will also include maintaining administrative duties that pertain to this clinical position. The successful applicant will have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education and clinical care.
