Essential functions (job duties):
Conduct research in any broadly defined contemporary analytical or organic chemistry area, with a focus on interdisciplinary biomedical research.
Teach Chemistry courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
Publish research results in leading peer-reviewed journals.
Aggressively seek external funding to support the research program.
Direct graduate students’ research and thesis work.
Assume department, college, and university duties are consistent with and appropriate for good faculty citizenship.
Qualifications:
Ph.D. in a field of specialization or related area.
Research experience that indicates the ability to maintain a high profile, fundable, and contemporary research program.
Research publications in leading journals appropriate to the discipline.
