The Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences at Boston University invites applicants for two tenure-track positions at the Assistant Professor level in the field of human cognitive neuroscience, to begin July 2025. The positions are in the Brain, Behavior, and Cognition area within the Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences, which has strong ties to the Undergraduate Program in Neuroscience, Graduate Program for Neuroscience, Center for Systems Neuroscience, and Cognitive Neuroimaging Center. We seek applicants whose research emphasizes non-invasive human cognitive neuroscience approaches such as functional MRI. Applicants are encouraged to highlight one or more of the following attributes in their application materials: (1) knowledge of both human brain anatomy and cognition; (2) use of innovative computational methods; (3) potential for synergy and/or complementarity of research topics with current faculty in the department (see https://www.bu.edu/psych/people/faculty/) or for interdisciplinary collaborations across the university. Each successful candidate will be expected to establish a vigorous, externally supported program of research, engage in research training, and teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
