Assistant Professor in Motivational Neuroscience
The Rutgers Brain Health Institute (http://brainhealthinstitute.rutgers.edu/) is recruiting a tenure-track faculty member at the Assistant Professor level who studies motivational neuroscience, defined as research to understand brain mechanisms of motivation related to reward and emotional processing, substance abuse, feeding and obesity, or affective dysfunctions. Applicants must have a PhD, MD/PhD, or equivalent doctoral degree, and a research program with currently active federal funding. In addition to a strong, federally-funded research program, quality of research and fit within one or more of the four focus areas of the Rutgers Brain Health Institute are important criteria. We offer a competitive salary and an excellent start-up package. With over 250 neuroscience faculty labs engaged in basic and clinical research, and proximity to New York, Princeton and Philadelphia neuroscience communities, Rutgers offers tremendous collaborative opportunities and core facilities to support and grow an active research program. We strongly encourage applications from female and minority candidates. Applicants should submit a CV, statement of research accomplishments and plans, and names of at least three references to Dr Gary Aston-Jones at the bhi@ca.rutgers.edu.
