Job Description:

The Department of Economics at the University of Florida, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-accruing position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Applied Public Economics, broadly defined, beginning August 16, 2025. The Department also welcomes applications from advanced Assistant Professors. Candidates with previous experience will receive the full tenure probationary period. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Economics or complete the Ph.D. in Economics by August 15, 2025.

The successful candidate will conduct independent research leading to publication in leading peer-reviewed economics journals. They will also teach effectively at the undergraduate and graduate levels and provide service to the department and university.

The Department of Economics is the academic home to 22 faculty. The University of Florida has a separate Food and Resource Economics Department, with which faculty may collaborate. Advertised Salary:

The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, and the compensation includes a full benefits package.
