**39127BR** **Extended Job Title:** Assistant Professor - Mathematics and Statistics **Organization:** Texas Tech University **Position Description:** The Department of Mathematics and Statistics of the College of Arts and Sciences at Texas Tech University invites applications towards a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track position in Mathematical and Statistical Sciences at the Assistant Professor level, to begin Sep 1, 2025. This position was open based on a university strategic initiative and a collaborative program between Mathematics and the College of Engineering, for the area of cyber-mathematics or mathematical foundations on cybersecurity. The department seeks candidates who engage in internationally visible scholarship, establish externally funded research programs, positively interact with the existing research groups, involve both graduate and undergraduate students in their research and outreach, and show excellence in teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Applicants must demonstrate ability to work on interdisciplinary problems and collaborate with faculty from multiple Engineering departments.
