Assistant Professor of 20th and 21st century Native American and (Global) Indigenous Literatures
The Department of English at Syracuse University is seeking applications for a tenure-line Assistant Professor in twentieth and twenty-first centuries Native American and/or Global Anglophone Indigenous Literatures (including, but not limited to what are often named the Hemispheric Américas and Caribbean, Australia, Aotearoa-New Zealand, and Oceania). Topics of particular interest include environmental and ecological criticism, disability studies, and poetry and poetics conceived from a comparative, trans-Indigenous perspective. The focus on literatures and cultural practices could include consideration of Indigenous languages and the multiple and varied systems of meaning- and knowledge-production within what has been termed the decolonizing epistemologies of the Global South
