Assistant Professor of Analytics & Information Systems
Location: Bowling Green, KY Category: Faculty Posted On: Mon Sep 23 2024 Job Description: Applications are being sought for an Assistant Professor (ABD, entry-level or advanced) in Analytics and Information Systems. Background in Business Data Analytics, Data Science, Cybersecurity or Artificial Intelligence is preferred. This position is a nine-month, tenure track eligible appointment beginning fall 2025. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate a capability for high-impact scholarly research and excellent teaching in an environment where collaboration, collegiality, and student-centered approaches are valued. Regularly scholarly publishing is expected. Anticipated teaching responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate courses in data analytics. Business and related experience, service to the profession, and grant/fund raising capabilities are valuable assets. Demonstrated cultural competence, sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of students, faculty, and staff are integral to this position. We especially encourage applications from candidates who can bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the campus and our undergraduate student population. Job Requirements: Ph.D. or nearly completed terminal degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field with significant coursework in applied Information Systems or Data Analytics.
