**Job Description:**
+ Teach undergraduate lecture and lab courses in Organic and General Chemistry. The incumbent would be expected to primarily teach Organic Chemistry I and II with labs. Secondary teaching assignments may include, but are not limited to, General Chemistry I and II and/or labs and Fundamentals of Chemistry.
+ Deliver courses using a variety of methods, including in-person and online, commensurate with department and university needs.
+ Provide evidence of continuing preparation and study in the field to enhance teaching abilities.
+ Contribute to student growth and development.
+ Engage in service to the University and community.
+ Support Minnesota State University Moorhead's strategic priority of creating a campus community that is diverse, inclusive, globally aware, and just.
+ A full-time teaching load is 12 credits per semester.
+ This is an in-person/on-campus position (not remote).
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Earned master's degree, ABD, or equivalent in Chemistry or closely related field by date of appointment.
+ Must meet Higher Learning Commission [HLC] faculty credentialing guidelines [e.g., have 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline the faculty is teaching].
+ Demonstrate ability to teach undergraduate chemistry courses.
+ Demonstrated commitment to quality teaching and evidence of successful undergraduate teaching experience.
+ Excellent communication skills.
+ Demonstrated ability to work successfully with students of diverse backgrounds including sensitivity to their needs and concerns.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Earned doctorate in Chemistry or closely related field by date of appointment.
+ Demonstrated ability to teach both lecture and lab courses for both science and non-science majors.
+ Evidence of excellence in undergraduate teaching via multiple delivery methods.
+ Ability to teach a variety of courses throughout the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department curriculum, and potentially introductory courses in Biology and Physics.
+ Demonstrated record of scholarly achievement commensurate with level of experience.
+ Ability to mentor student research experiences.
+ Post-doctoral experience.
+ Skills/ability to integrate technology to enhance learning and teaching.
