The University of Miami of Miami Health System is initiating a search for an Assistant Professor of Endocrinology. Essential Job Functions: + Provide high quality medical care to patients with endocrine diseases + Conducts examinations, assesses and evaluates symptoms, determines conditions, and prescribes medical treatment or services + Provide outpatient and inpatient care to patients at University of Miami Health System and Jackson Memorial Hospital + Engage in training of Endocrinology fellows, residents, and medical students. + Oversees mid-level medical staff as assigned as well as nursing clinical staff Desired Qualifications: + MD/DO Degree required + ACGME US Internal Medicine Residency + Completed 3-year ACGME US Endocrinology Fellowship + Valid American Board Certification in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology (or board eligible)  + Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply (must have license prior to credentialing)  + Valid DEA licensure  + Current ACLS and BLS certification required + Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques. + Must maintain CME to meet institutional and state licensing requirements + Current BLS certification required.
