Responsibilities Major Duties of the Position: The selected applicant will teach undergraduate electrical and computer engineering courses, conduct scholarly research, and perform service to the department and the institution. Duties include curriculum development and assessment, course development and revision, academic advising, and helping to develop cadets into Air Force officers of character. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: An earned doctoral degree (must be completed by employment start date) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required and minimum of two years teaching or related experience at the undergraduate or graduate level (for example research group, teaching assistant imparting knowledge to class/group). ACADEMIC DISCIPLINES: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Essential qualities expected of every faculty member include integrity, industry, initiative, enthusiasm, collegiality, and demonstrated expertise in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field. Candidates will have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and be supportive of undergraduate research. Candidates will be expected to contribute to the USAFA mission by interacting with cadets, both in and out of the classroom as instructors and mentors. Evidence of teaching excellence and innovation is desired. Evidence of research promise and scholarly activity is desired.
