We provide students with a personalized, supportive environment, small classes, and strong student academic support. FDUV is located in downtown Vancouver at two locations in Yaletown. FDUV programs are professionally oriented and build on the over 75-year history of FDU campuses in New Jersey. FDU is a private, not for profit university accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and holds the Education Quality Assurance (EQA) designation for public and private institutions in B.C. that meet or exceed quality assurance standards set by the province of B.C.
A tenure-track appointee must excel in teaching, especially project-based teaching, actively participate in recruitment and advising, engage in university governance and service, bring professional networks and experiences to bear, represent the school at professional events, and sustain a program of research and publication. The appointment is contingent on budgetary approval.
The Assistant Professor of Health and Human Services excels in teaching, especially project-based learning and supports student advising, engages in university service, has professional networks and experiences to support a project-based approach to education of professionals, and sustains a program of research and publications. This is a tenure track position in the School of Public and Global Affairs.
Responsibilities:1. Teach in the FDUV Master of Administrative Sciences program. A full load is 8 classes per year. Released time from courses is available in support of research.
2. Assist in the development and implementation of the proposed Master of Healthcare Administration and teach courses in that program once approved.
3. Maintain an active research program.
4. Participate in University service at various levels.
5. Build and maintain academic and professional networks to support scholarship, teaching, and student placement.
All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and Permanent Residents will be given priority. The Ph.D. or other terminal degree is preferred, although doctoral students with teaching experience and applicants with professional qualifications will be considered.
Required Qualifications: Ph.D. or Terminal degree with teaching experience in multiple delivery modes and professional field experience with a supervisory exposure
Sustained research program and/or significant professional network
