**Job Description**
This on campus position would require teaching a variety of courses including but not limited to: Business Law I: Legal Environment and Contract Law, Business Law II: Commercial and Financial Law, Legal and Ethical Environment of Management, International Law, and other Management courses as needed. Delivery methods include teaching in the classroom and online to undergraduate and graduate students. Additional responsibilities include academic advising, student club advising, involvement in department projects, assessment data collection, and activities, representing the department at campus-wide recruiting events, and participation in campus committees. Duties also include contribution to student growth and development, participation in department and institutional activities, evaluation of student performance, engagement in scholarly activities, and participation in service to the University and community. SMSU, in its commitment to meeting the service needs of the region, expects faculty to engage in regional service, education or study as part of their community service responsibility.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ J.D., Ph.D., DBA or other related doctoral degree. Considerations will be made for applicants expected to receive their doctoral degree within one semester of appointment.
+ Professional work experience in the area of Business or International Law
+ Applicants should have knowledge of, or willingness to learn, online and web-supported course delivery methods.
+ Applicant should have expert knowledge of how to operate Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Applicants should have superior written and oral communication skills.
+ A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and business/community groups is expected
+ Must understand and appreciate liberal education. The University is committed to fostering a global perspective.

**Preferred Qualification**
+ Teaching experience in law and management courses at the undergraduate and graduate level
+ Demonstrating teaching excellence with examples of positive student evaluations.
+ Evidence of current scholarly activity.
+ Applicants can demonstrate teaching effectiveness in an online or hyflex delivery method.
+ Applicants can demonstrate positive student impacts outside the classroom.
