Assistant Professor of Marketing
Location: Binghamton, NY Category: Faculty Posted On: Tue Oct 15 2024 Job Description: The School of Management at Binghamton University (State University of New York, a premier public R1 research institution) invites applications for tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in the area of Marketing, starting in mid-August 2025, subject to budgetary approval. Position Responsibilities: + Produce original and innovative research to be published in the top business academic journals for marketing and expected to present at top marketing conferences. To support faculty research, the school provides summer funding for the first three years of service. + Instruct both undergraduate and graduate Marketing courses. The candidate is expected to be able and willing to teach analytics or applied analytics courses, and expand on the analytics electives currently offered. The standard teaching load is 2+2 per academic year. + Participate actively in the Marketing PhD program (curriculum development and assessment) and student advising. + Engage in other service duties for the school and the college both internally and externally. Job Requirements: Position Requirements: + Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Marketing, or a closely related field, or have completed all degree requirements (including securing valid immigration status and work authorization, if applicable) by the academic year obligation start date (August 18, 2025). + Applicants should have research interests in either behavioral, strategy or quantitative/modeling/analytics areas. + Demonstrate potential to establish a successful track record of scholarly research, as evidenced by published articles, submitted manuscripts, conference acceptances, or work-in-progress papers aimed at publication in the top marketing journals. Candidates with one or two years of experience will also be considered, but we are not seeking to fill an associate/full position.
