This is a wonderful opportunity for an outstanding academic microbiologist/immunologist who is enthusiastic about teaching and education, to contribute to a young medical school with an extremely dynamic environment. Candidates should have a desire and flexibility to integrate instruction across other disciplines within a fully integrated curriculum. All candidates with an enthusiasm for teaching and those with prior teaching experience in a health profession related environment are encouraged to apply; however, prior teaching experience in an LCME -accredited medical school would be considered preferred This position has a full-time instructional mandate, and the recruited candidate must be committed to excellence in the teaching and mentoring of first- and second-year medical students, in addition to teaching within other graduate programs offered by the School of Medicine. The present MD curriculum at the school is of a hybrid nature, designed around the Problem Based Learning ( PBL ) modality, while also employing traditional lecture-based instruction.
