We seek a dynamic educator and practitioner with .a strong commitment to teaching, research, and collaboration in the field of audio production and recording technologies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead and develop our concentration in Recording and Electronic Music as well as our interdisciplinary audio engineering minor. We are a collaborative and diverse department that offers a BA/BS in music with concentrations in recording and electronic music, composition, jazz performance, classical performance, and clinical musicianship. Duties of the role include but are not limited to:• Teach undergraduate courses in recording arts, audio production, and related subjects• Develop and enhance the Recording and Electronic Music concentration and the audio engineering minor• Advise students enrolled in the Recording and Electronic Music concentration and the audio engineering minor• Supervise student projects and provide mentorship in studio practices• Conduct research and creative work in recording arts, contributing to the scholarly community• Collaborate with faculty across disciplines and engage in service to the department and university• Participate in student recruitment and outreach initiatives Qualifications: Required:• DMA or terminal degree (MMA, MFA, MA) in Music, Audio Engineering, or a related field. MMA, MFA, or MA will be accepted with professional experience in the field.• Proven experience in audio production and recording techniques• Ability to create a welcoming and inclusive teaching environment• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Preferred:• Experience teaching at the collegiate level• Experience with contemporary recording technologies and software• Background in live sound, post-production, or sound design• Professional experience in the music industry or a related field Contact Information: Electronic submissions required.
