We are seeking a generalist with the ability to teach art history surveys and other art history courses both face to face and online via Blackboard. The appointment requires teaching 4 courses per semester in Survey I, Survey II and another area that may include the History of Mexican Art, Modern Art before 1945, Art since 1945, Design History, History of Photography, History of Animation, or Museum and Gallery Practices. In addition to teaching, the successful candidate will be expected to attend monthly department faculty meetings and serve on departmental committees. Educational Requirements for the Position Preference will be given to candidates with a PhD in Art History or have a PhD in hand by August 2025. Candidates must have an MA in Art History with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in art history. Experience Required for the Position Teaching experience at the undergraduate level is required. Demonstrated potential for peer reviewed research activities is preferred.
