The Department of Psychological Sciences within the Ogden College of Science and Engineering at Western Kentucky University seeks a full-time tenure-eligible faculty member for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in Industrial-Organizational Psychology. Candidates will be expected to teach graduate and undergraduate courses in industrial-organizational psychology, including a subset of the following: Organizational Psychology, Training, Job Analysis, a seminar in applicant's area of expertise, or EEO law; establish an active program of basic and applied research in an area of industrial-organizational psychology (area of specialization is open); seek opportunities for external funding and/or corporate partnerships; direct theses and internships in our well established I/O master's program; and
participate in service at the department, college, and university level.
The Department of Psychological Sciences offers a B.S. and minor in Psychological Science, a minor in Neuroscience, and M.S. programs in both Psychological Science and Industrial/Organizational Psychology. This growing department serves approximately 200 undergraduate majors and 30 graduate students. The ideal candidate will make significant contributions to the Industrial-Organizational M.S. program, which is focused on increasing the research and practical skills, competencies and experiences of students pursuing careers in I/O psychology.
Anticipated employment begin date is August 2025.

+ A Doctorate in Industrial-Organizational Psychology should be earned by the time of appointment.
+ Demonstrated potential for excellence in research, teaching, and service.
