Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit The Department of Psychology consists of 25 full-time faculty and offers a BA and BS in psychology, an MA in General Experimental Psychology, and the Ph.D. in developmental, clinical, cognitive, and social psychology (See https://psy.uncg.edu/ for more information). Position Summary The Department of Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro invites applications for a tenure-track position in Developmental Psychology (Assistant Professor level), to begin August 1, 2025.

We seek someone to join an active and collaborative research department. Candidates must hold or anticipate a Ph.D. in Psychology or a related field by August 1, 2025. The Department of Psychology consists of 25 full-time faculty and offers a BA and BS in psychology, including Disciplinary Honors, an MA in experimental psychology, and a PhD in developmental, cognitive, social, and clinical psychology (see http://psy.uncg.edu for more information).

All applicants should have a clear commitment to teaching courses in developmental psychology at the undergraduate and graduate levels and be able to provide rich research experiences for our students. Candidates should show evidence of a strong, independent research program and should demonstrate potential to secure external funding. An ideal candidate would be able to build on areas of interest in the department, including social cognition and development, peer relations, and health-related cognition, with a preferred emphasis on late childhood and pre-adolescence. We welcome applicants outside of these areas.
