Job Summary:
Ramapo College of New Jersey invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Social Work. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. or DSW in Social Work with a focus in Social Welfare Policy/Advocacy, Community Leadership and Integrated Social Work. Applicants who have a commitment to serving a diverse student body at an emerging HSI (Hispanic Serving Institution) and applicants from historically underrepresented backgrounds are encouraged to apply. This position requires an individual with demonstrated skill in teaching Social Welfare Policy/Advocacy, Community Leadership and Integrated Social Work, and who has experience in providing direct client services. The MSW and BSW programs at Ramapo are accredited by the Council on Council on Social Work Education. Experience in teaching in MSW and BSW programs, as well as providing both micro and macro interventions preferred. LCSW or equivalent required. Familiarity with CSWE accreditation standards preferred.
Requirements:
MSW plus minimum of 3 years post-MSW social work practice experience, previous teaching experience and a PhD or DSW in Social work or a related field is required. Faculty members are expected to maintain active participation in research, scholarship, college governance, service, academic advisement and professional development activities.
