Posting Number: 20241147F Position Title: Assistant Professor of Statistics Position Type: Faculty Location: Villanova, PA Recruitment Type: Internal/External Applicants Work Schedule: full-time/9-months Department: 185-Mathematics & Statistics Position Summary: The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Villanova University invites applications for a tenure track position in Statistics with the rank of Assistant Professor. The position begins in August 2025, and the teaching load is 12 credits for the first year with a standard load of 15 credits per year afterwards. Candidates from all areas of Statistics, including Biostatistics and Data Science, are invited to apply.

Join a dynamic group of 12 statisticians with varied research interests! Our Statistics program features a well-established MS in Applied Statistics and Data Science, an undergraduate major, and an undergraduate minor. Graduates of our program pursue careers in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries as well as in business, consulting, and education. Some also pursue a Ph.D. in Statistics or a related field.

Our department currently has 42 full-time faculty members across mathematics and statistics and is known for its collegiality. Villanova values excellence in teaching, supporting it through teaching development and grant opportunities as well as small class sizes.
