(Internal Med/Transmountain) **Org Level 1:** Texas Tech Unv Hlth Sci Ctr El Paso **Position Description:** Contributes to the university’s mission through teaching, research and service, some variation by academic unit. **Requisition ID:** 38494BR **Travel Required:** Up to 25% **Major/Essential Functions:** + Provides Endocrinology consultations and clinical services in an inpatient/outpatient setting + Collaborates with leadership group(s) to improve quality of care in inpatient setting + Engages in extensive and on-going communications with community primary care physicians + Completes all medical records and documentation accurately and timely to assure compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory, licensure, and accreditation requirements + Limited outpatient responsibilities, based on candidate's interest + Supervises residents and participates in teaching activities for medical students and/or residents + Engages in advancement of scientific knowledge through scholarship + Serves the academic community through participation in institutional governance, such as committee work and other administrative duties + Contributes to the community through academically-related public service complementary to the institutional mission + Ensures compliance with HIPPA and billing regulations + Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures + Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Foster School of Medicine’s Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility + Upholds and promotes the values-based culture of TTUHSC El Paso **Grant Funded?:** No **Minimum Hire Rate:** salary commensurate with related education, experience and/or skills **Pay Basis:** Monthly **Work Location:** El Paso **Preferred Qualifications:** + Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine + Board certification in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism by the American Board of Internal Medicine + Experience as a hospitalist in a community hospital setting + Experience in teaching medical students and residents + Emerging or established regional or national reputation for the rank of Associate Professor or higher **Campus:** HSC - El Paso **Department:** Transmountain Practice Admin Elp **Required Attachments:** Resume / CV **Job Type:** Full Time **Pay Statement:** Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as, the institutional pay plan.
