**35677BR** **Extended Job Title:** Assistant Professor or Higher (General Neurology) **Org Level 1:** Texas Tech Unv Hlth Sci Ctr El Paso **Position Description:** Contributes to the university’s mission through teaching, research and service, some variation by academic unit. **Requisition ID:** 35677BR **Optional Attachments:** Professional/Personal Reference, Professional License/Certification, Other Documents Supporting Qualifications **Travel Required:** Up to 25% **Major/Essential Functions:** + Provides inpatient and outpatient general adult neurology clinical services to include neuromuscular or clinical neurophysiology services in the assigned neurology outpatient clinic, and provides consultation services in the affiliated hospitals + Provides direct patient care and consultative service to other medical professionals + Diagnose and treat general adult neurological patients, to include interpreting diagnostic tests such as EEGs/EMGs and treatment of a variety of peripheral nerve and muscle disorders. + Supervises resident clinics and participates in the overall teaching program for the teaching and training of residents and medical students, to include the presentation of lectures + Engages in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship + Serves the academic community through participation in institutional governance, such as committee work + Contributes to the community through academically-related public service complementary to the institutional mission + Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations and adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures + Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L.
