Work Scope
Day to day supervision of the events team members in support of the Meetings and Events programOversee and coordinate with event support staff and third-party vendorsIndependently manage and execute high-level special events as requested by the Amazon Event OrganizerLead comprehensive event planning, including site visits, planning meetings, and final details meetings with stakeholdersDevelop and implement new policies and procedures Analyze and optimize existing operational proceduresDrive continuous improvement initiatives for operations and service levelsTrack and analyze team performance metricsPrepare and present monthly performance reports to Program Delivery ManagerOther duties as assigned in support of the Amazon Meetings & Events programKey Role Requirements:
Demonstrate ability to work independently on complex projects and activitiesProvide high level support to team and customers Exercise independent judgment in analyzing data and making decisions with minimal senior oversightContribute to strategic planning and lead complex initiatives within the teamBuild and maintain relationships across business segmentsApply advanced skills to manage complex projectsIdentify and resolve moderately complex problems using organizational best practicesAnalyze and interpret data to resolve non-routine challengesExercise influence within direct and extended teamsEssential Functions:
Provide prompt and courteous responses to Amazon Event Organizer and client requests within the guidelines set forth by Amazon Meetings & EventsMaintain ethical, professional, and courteous relationships with contractors, employees, and property management teamsPerform as a team member with all employeesCommunicate and work effectively with officers, senior contacts within client organization, and business associates.Prepare proposals and presentationsAssist in compiling budget information and business review metricsComply with all company and regional policiesLearn and follow all Amazon policies and procedures as they apply to onsite meetings and eventsFlexible hours: Must be willing to work nights, evenings and weekends as necessaryEssential Knowledge and Skills:

3+ years of event management or relevant hospitality experienceDemonstrated experience in team leadership and project managementEducation:
