Who We Are: CAMBA is a community of staff, volunteers, clients, donors, neighbors and partners who work together to build an inclusive New York City, where all children and adults have access to the resources and supports they need to thrive.  We take a comprehensive approach by offering more than 180 integrated programs in:  Education & Youth Development, Family Support, Job Training & Employment Support Services, Health, Housing, and Legal Services. We reach more than 73,000 individuals and families, including almost 13,000 youth. CAMBA serves a diverse cross section of New Yorkers from new mothers in Brownsville to job seekers in the Rockaways. More than half of our clients are immigrants and refugees from around the globe. Over 85% of our families are in living in poverty, reflecting the challenges faced by nearly 1.7 million New Yorkers today. Beacon Community Centers:  CAMBA administers school based Beacon community centers at P.S. 269 in East Flatbush and at I.S. 271 in Ocean Hill-Brownsville And at I.S. 166 in East New York. All Beacon Centers are run in partnership with other community organizations to provide education, recreation, cultural activities, health information and screenings, youth leadership and social services to the school's students, their families, and other neighborhood residents. Activities and services are available after school, evenings and on weekends, and reach more than 4,000 people per year. Position: Assistant Program Director Reports To: Program Director Location: Beacon 164 (4211 14th Avenue Brooklyn, NY 11219) What The Assistant Program Director Does: + Communicate with peers in other CAMBA programs on issues related to client progress. + Understand all aspects of contract requirements and communicate this understanding to staff. + Work with staff to set realistic weekly and monthly performance targets in accordance with contract requirements. + Coordinate and supervise all day-to-day activities of direct reporting staff. + On a periodic basis, observe direct reporting staff engaging with clients and/or supervisory staff. + Conduct weekly client progress reviews with staff. + Conduct periodic internal file review and implement Quality Assurance measures as needed to ensure quality service delivery to clients. + Prepare contract reports and statistical information for both CAMBA management and funder use. + Assist in the analysis of program and demographic data to make programmatic improvements. + Organize onsite and offsite training opportunities for professional development of staff. + Assist the Program Manager in providing oversight for all aspects of the program in his/her absence. + Confer with the Program Manager, Program Director, and/or other CAMBA management staff as needed regarding programmatic and personnel issues. + Attend staff/funder/outside agency meetings as requested. + May review and sign timesheets. + May prepare performance appraisals for direct reporting staff members. + May develop appropriate marketing material and marketing/outreach strategies for the program. + May network both within and outside CAMBA to expand client recruitment and opportunities for client success. + May have direct client service/program responsibilities in addition to the above. Minimum Education/Experience Required: + Bachelor's degree (B. A.) and two years of applicable experience and/or equivalent experience. Other Requirements: + The NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) Sex Offender Registry (SOR), + The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH). + The New York City Department of Education (DOE) + The New York State Central Registrar (SCR) + The New York State Staff Exclusion List (SEL). + Criminal History Review + Ability to maintain clearance of the above throughout the duration of employment. + Must take S-95/F-07 test and obtain FDNY Certificate of Fitness within two weeks of hire. + Must participate in 5 hour Foundations in Health and Safety and, Mandated Reporter training Compensation: $43,000-$47,000 annually When salary ranges are listed, the range would represent the low and high end for the applicable position & program. The salary offered would be based on various factors unique to each program and candidate. This includes but is not limited to experience, education, budget and/or program size, internal equity, skills and other factors that may be required for the position and organization.
