Assistant Project Manager – Maintenance Support Operations - CCoE

Job Summary/Objective:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager with a strong background in U.S. Army maintenance procedures to support operations for the Cyber Center of Excellence (CCoE). This role emphasizes oversight of maintenance staff, ensuring compliance with Army maintenance standards, and providing administrative support, including developing comprehensive PowerPoint reports. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills to assist the Project Manager in delivering high-quality services while maintaining strong client relationships and operational excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist in managing departmental operations to ensure maintenance projects are completed according to Army specifications, budgets, and timelines. Monitor and oversee maintenance staff to ensure compliance with U.S. Army maintenance procedures and standards. Provide administrative support by creating detailed and professional PowerPoint reports for briefings and updates to stakeholders. Communicate regularly with the Project Manager and management team regarding program status, highlighting potential issues and proposing solutions. Coordinate and document routine maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs to sustain operational readiness. Support the operation and upkeep of mechanical, electrical, and safety systems in compliance with Army and government facility standards. Conduct and oversee routine facility inspections, including eyewash/shower station maintenance and vehicle upkeep. Develop contingency plans to address potential schedule delays and operational challenges. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with ISO standards and other applicable regulations. Foster positive working relationships with maintenance staff, customers, and government stakeholders. Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall success of maintenance operations.

Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. Army maintenance procedures, protocols, and standards. Strong proficiency in developing professional PowerPoint presentations and administrative documentation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effectively liaising with diverse stakeholders. Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills, fostering a collaborative team environment. Robust organizational and time management abilities, ensuring task prioritization and timely completion. Analytical problem-solving skills to identify, address, and resolve operational challenges efficiently. Leadership skills to effectively oversee and guide maintenance staff. Adaptability to dynamic environments and the ability to perform under pressure.

Minimum Requirements:

BA or BS degree from an accredited university. 5+ years of experience supporting U.S. Army maintenance operations. 3+ years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager or similar role for a Federal Contractor. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel. Successful experience working collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Skills/Abilities:

Familiarity with Union and Collective Bargaining Agreements. Security Clearance: DoD SECRET Level Clearance Required.

Physical Demands/Requirements:

Work is performed indoors and outdoors on government facilities. Ability to observe and recommend maintenance work in various environmental conditions (hot and cold). Ability to climb ladders, crawl in tight spaces, and lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
