Assistant Project Manager
Job Title: Assistant Project Manager - Electrical Job Description The Assistant Project Manager will help the Project Manager with full responsibility for assigned electrical projects. The role involves estimating, cost control, forecasting, and scheduling multiple projects through to completion. The Assistant Project Manager will serve as Management’s point of contact and will coordinate the job team to meet all project goals. Responsibilities + Manage financial aspects of projects through ongoing job forecasting. + Communicate with Foremen regarding job expectations and goals. + Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget. + Report and escalate to management as needed. + Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation. + Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project. + Track project performance to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals. + Estimate change orders for assigned projects. + Manage all job closeout procedures. Essential Skills + 3+ years of working experience in electrical project management within the Maryland, DC, Virginia market. + Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills. + Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office. + Knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Codes). Additional Skills & Qualifications + Electrical background . + Procore experience. + Experience with RFI/Change Orders and submittals. + Experience in data center and commercial construction. + Project scheduling experience. + LEED experience preferred. Work Environment This position is on-site at a Data Center in Ashburn, VA. The role requires the use of steel-toed boots, a reflective vest, a hard hat, and safety glasses. Employees will receive 2 weeks of PTO, 10 paid holidays, 401k options, and medical, dental, and vision insurance options. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $75000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
