Assistant Project Manager
Description/Job Summary Job description Chaparral is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support our project management team on large scale commercial and industrial projects. This role involves assisting in various project-related tasks, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have experience in project management, a solid understanding of mechanical systems, mechanical insulation materials and codes, and exceptional organizational and communication skills. Key Responsibilities: + Project Sales & Customer Relations: Assist in project sales efforts and develop strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and ensure satisfaction. + Cost Estimation: Utilize the MIKE estimating system to accurately estimate project costs, including labor, materials, and time requirements. + Project Planning & Documentation: Plan, budget, oversee, and document all aspects of assigned projects, ensuring that all necessary records are maintained. + Operational Management Support: Aid in managing the operational capabilities of the division to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. + Productivity Monitoring: Monitor productivity levels and address any challenges that arise with the labor pool, including documentation of performance issues and achievements. + Quality & Safety Enforcement: Enforce the Company's Quality and Safety Programs to ensure compliance and promote a safe working environment. + Performance Optimization: Drive performance and production, ensuring projects are completed on or under budget and within established timelines. + Other Duties as Assigned: Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as directed by your supervisor to support overall project goals and company objectives. Required Qualifications + Knowledge of mechanical insulation materials and relevant codes. + Proven experience in project management or a related field. + Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. + Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously. + Self-motivated with the ability to perform duties with minimal guidance
