Assistant Project Manager

Responsibilities What You'll Do: This Assistant Project Manager position supports Radio Frequency (RF) engineering, systems testing and analysis efforts as a subject matter expert (SME). Provides onsite and remote Fleet technical support. As a SME, responsible for reviewing and updating electromagnetic criteria documents in OP-3840 and the appendix (F) section of the Navy-Wide OPTASK COMM line number table used in Real-Time Spectrum Operations (RTSO). Responsible for product deliveries in accordance with CDRL requirements. Candidates should have a background in Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) testing and evaluations, and MATLAB or other analysis tool use skills. Key Responsibilities: + + Manage relationships with different teams and stakeholders. (5% time spent) + Allocate resources across projects, and track progress, costs, and hours on tasks. (5% time spent) + Perform technical support for real-world exercises as a SME for the Real-Time Spectrum Operations (RTSO) software. Develop Radar and Communications plans and instructional materials for remote and onsite technical training. (50% time spent) + Create technical support documentation to assist V2X Software tool users as required. (15% time spent) + Navigate multiple spectrum and frequency allocation databases to find information on systems of interest and apply this information to various analyses. (25% time spent) Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: + + Education: + Bachelor’s (4 year) degree in Engineering from an accredited College or University or experience serving as a Spectrum Manager, communications and/or Radar Planner for a U.S. Navy Strike Group. + Experience: + Experience preparing technical documents and presentations. + Experience with drafting tools such as Solidworks and/or AutoCAD. + Experience creating/maintaining a point-of-contact information database. + Experience creating and maintaining an active training tracker to record and monitor numbers of training personnel. + Trained in the usage of Spectrum XXI. + Past experience in MATLAB, Python, C, or C++ programming language. + Proficient in producing comprehensive training materials for V2X software products. + Other Requirement: + Active DoD Top Secret Clearance + Must be a US citizen + This position requires period travel for 7-10 days for RF Engineering Test events and Technical Support. + Software: + RF Software tools developed by V2X + DoD websites for spectrum managers + Classified spectrum data and Navy websites such as Collaboration at Sea (CAS), Joint Spectrum Data Repository (JSDR) + Adobe Captivate. + Technology: + Personal computer, printer, copy machine and other general office equipment What We Bring: + + At V2X we strive to be market competitive in our total reward offerings. + The successful candidate’s starting pay will be based on, but not limited to, their job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. + Employee benefits include the following: + Healthcare coverage + Life insurance, AD&D, and disability benefits + Retirement plan + Wellness programs + Paid time off, including holidays + Learning and Development resources + Employee assistance resources + Pay and benefits are subject to change at any time and may be modified at the discretion of the company, consistent with the terms of any applicable compensation or benefit plans.
