Job Title: Assistant Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager / Project Coordinator with a strong experience in preconstruction documentation processing and construction related. The ideal candidate will assist the Project Manager (PM) in managing federal construction projects from award through project closeout, including but not limited to producing subcontracts, submittal processing, attending and taking meeting notes, coordinate with project team members and culminate project closeout documentation.  This role requires proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and Adobe applications.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

Preconstruction Coordination: Assist the Project Manager with the preparation and organization of preconstruction documents, including project scopes, submittal registers, Record for Information (RFI’s) and subcontracts.Document Management: Maintain and update project files, including correspondence, submittal approvals, RFI responses and change orders. Ensure all documentation is accurate and easily accessible.Schedule Management: Support the PM in tracking project schedules, coordinating meetings, and ensuring deadlines are met on all deliverables.Communication: Facilitate effective communication between project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and team members.Reporting: Prepare regular project reports, including status updates and progress summaries, using MS Excel and other reporting tools.Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the Project Manager, including drafting reports, handling correspondence, and organizing meetings.

 

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in project coordination or management within the construction industry. Experience with Federal Project is preferredTechnical Skills: Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and Adobe applications. Experience with project management software is a plus.Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field and/or office experience preferred.Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of project coordination and documentation.
