Assistant Project Manager
Responsibilities Overview: Related Management Company is looking for a motivated Assistant Project Manager to join our Engineering Management team. In this role, you will assist in managing Certificates of Occupancy and Violations on luxury residential buildings. You will support the Director in overseeing various aspects of the Certificate of Occupancy process, including filing applications, scheduling inspections, and vendor coordination. This role offers a great opportunity for growth and development in project management within a dynamic team environment. Key Responsibilities: Project Coordination: Help manage day-to-day project operations, including tracking progress and supporting scheduling. Communication Support: Relay relevant project information to team members and superiors effectively. This includes but no limited to building management, architects, engineers, and contractors. Collaborate with building management team to gather necessary information to resolve violations. Issue Resolution: Assist in identifying and resolving project issues, escalating as needed. Document Management: Aid in maintaining accurate project documentation, building violations, construction plans, and correspondence. Permit/Violation Management: Support the management of permits and compliance with relevant governmental requirements. Meeting Coordination: Book and prepare meeting rooms, set up conference calls, and take notes and assist with regular project status meetings. Status Reporting: Support in preparing monthly project status reports, including Violation reports, Open permit applications and Final Certificate of Occupancy reports. Hearing Attendance: Attend Environment Control Board Hearings as required. Training: Participate in training sessions and workshops on building code and compliance procedures to stay up to date with the lates building codes. Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to work effectively in a team setting and work independently Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Civil or MEP Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field preferred. Attributes: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, strong time management skills and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment. Additional Skills: Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications.
