Assistant Project Manager
Assistant Project Manager Job Description The Assistant Project Manager will partake in coordinating, developing, managing, and implementing all facets necessary to construct the project on time, within budget, and to the quality specified. A day involves providing assistance to the Project Manager through construction planning, scheduling equipment deliveries, facilitation document distribution, and serving as a liaison between project team members and the community with the common goal of promoting the interests of both the firm and clients in all matters. You will work directly with the Project Managers, Superintendents, and Project Executives to provide technical expertise regarding cost estimates, negotiate contracts, change orders, and establish project objectives to ensure project success. Responsibilities + Manage and oversee the Quality division. + Handle ground-up construction projects from inception to completion. + Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met. + Ensure all commercial construction activities adhere to regulations and safety standards. + Provide support and direction to the project team. Essential Skills + 3+ years of APM experience in ground-up construction. + 5+ years of commercial construction experience (ground-up required). + Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction (AEC). Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in managing school and commercial construction projects. + Knowledge of DGS standards and practices. Work Environment The work environment includes both on-site and in-office settings, depending on the weekly job schedule.
