Robert Half is currently representing excellent career opportunities for Assistant Project Managers. Your work will offer you a range of responsibilities, from managing project schedules to ordering and coordinating materials delivery, communicating with PMs, vendors, and customers, and using your time management skills to keep projects on track. These in-office roles will have you working among talented and interactive teams, in supportive, busy, and growth-oriented environments.
Responsibilities:
• Manage project schedules effectively, ensuring all activities are progressing as planned.
• Provide support to the Project Management staff throughout the project lifecycle, from award to closeout.
• Coordinate materials both in-house and with external vendors, ensuring all requests are fulfilled accurately and timely.
• Assist with change order management, including submittal, status updates, and documenting work performed.
• Work closely with Estimating and Drafting departments to ensure project deadlines are met.
• Maintain a courteous demeanor while representing the company.
• Play a vital role in the fabrication coordination process.
• Use your excellent communication skills to maintain relationships with clients and facilitate new project kick-offs.
• Further develop and utilize your skills related to Construction Documents, Construction Drawings, Commercial Construction Projects, reading and interpreting blueprints, AutoCAD, Drafting, Bluebeam Revu, and Project Management
Requirements
• Ideally 1+ year of experience in the construction industry
• Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints is ideal, not required
• Familiarity with design software tools such as AutoCAD and Bluebeam Revu
• Experience in drafting is considered a significant asset
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
• Proven track record in meeting deadlines and working under pressure
• Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Knowledge of construction safety regulations and compliance
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Project
