Assistant Project Manager/ CAD Manager (Remote)

Summary: The Assistant Project Manager / CAD Manager role merges project coordination expertise with
technical oversight of CAD operations to support efficient and high-quality project delivery. This hybrid position
involves collaborating with leadership to plan and implement projects, managing CAD software and standards,
coordinating tasks, and maintaining documentation. Key responsibilities include liaising with stakeholders, ensuring
adherence to CAD protocols, analyzing data, training staff, and tracking project progress. The role demands strong
organizational skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to manage competing priorities while fostering

 

Assistant Project Manager Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
On a normal day, the Assistant Project Manager may work alone or with a team. Will undertake the following duties
and more as instructed by the Project Manager:
     • Working alongside the Project Manager to plan and execute Projects.
     • Organizing and storing project reports and documents.
     • Liaising with Operations Leadership concerning project details and deliverables
     • Assisting in the planning and implementation of projects including identifying goals and creating a detailed
        project plan.
     • Helping to coordinate and manage project tasks and deliverables
     • Analyzing data as required
     • Conducting administrative duties, such as setting up meetings, costing out construction projects and
        engineering/materials estimates
     • Tracking and reporting project progress
     • Performing other duties assigned by the Project Manager in an orderly and efficient manner
     • Must exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality with regard to all company information
     • Completion of all required trainings as designated by the company and accreditation/licensing entities.
     • Other duties as assigned.

CAD Manager Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
     • Managing resources: Overseeing the use of CAD software and hardware, and procuring new software and
        hardware as needed
     • Setting standards: Establishing and enforcing CAD standards, and ensuring that drawings are legible and
        professional
     • Training and supporting staff: Training new team members, and supporting the development of staff skills
     • Managing projects: Managing the day-to-day output of the CAD function, and juggling multiple projects with
        competing priorities
     • Responsible for implementation of the Matterport Program as it relates to the as builds of facilities and the
        conceptual architectural floor plans of new projects.
     • Ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard
     • Reviewing outputs: Reviewing outputs for quality control, and approving or rejecting designs
     • Liaising with project managers: Facilitating communication between designers, engineers, and others
     • Managing people: Learning the strengths and weaknesses of team members, and delegating work
        appropriately
     • Staying competitive: Ensuring that the software works, and that users have the ability to use it proficiently

Supervisory Responsibilities:
     • Manages the Cad Department Staff
     • No Supervisory responsibility in the Assistant Project Manager role.

Physical Demands
The physical requirements for this role include sitting constantly, with occasional standing, walking, bending,
stooping, and reaching. Climbing primarily involves stair use, while work on ladders, squatting, kneeling, and
crawling are rare. The role requires frequent twisting, constant use of a keyboard, wrist flexion/extension, fine
manipulation, and operating foot controls. Low-level vibrations may be experienced, and lifting, carrying, and
pushing/pulling involve weights up to 10 lbs.


Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet & indoors. This position could at times require
travel to individual project sites. This position will be scheduled based on operational need & will be required to
provide own transportation or rental vehicles reimbursed by the company.
