CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager – Electric Distribution to join our Electric Distribution Team at our Colonie, NY office location.

YOUR IMPACT

CHA’s distribution design engineers have the deep experience and skillset to plan, design, and permit sustainable electric distribution infrastructure and all types of utility distribution systems. To realize the dependable, cost-effective interconnection of overhead and underground assets, we visualize, analyze and optimize how the system functions with itself and outside systems, and improve energy delivery and grid resilience.

 

At CHA, our Assistant Project Manager tracks project deliverables and reports back to Project Managers in a timely fashion while helping coordinate and manage projects from inception to completion. This role is key in helping maintain positive vendor and client relationships.

 

The Assistant Project Manager plans and implements projects including proposal preparation and development of scope, schedule, and budget by coordinating with CHA technical groups and market staff. The Assistant Project Manager addresses client’s needs and issues that arise during the project. The Assistant Project Manager consults with and gathers information from technicians, engineers, contractors, etc., as well as facilitates communications between office and field staff.

 

The Assistant Project Manager is a self-starter who excels in a high-paced work environment and is adaptable and calm under pressure.

REQUIREMENTS Associate Degree in engineering, architecture. science, planning, engineering management or a related degree is required; Bachelor’s Degree preferredPMP or equivalent professional license preferredNo prior experience required, however, prior internship(s) and/or applicable coursework preferredAccess database experience is preferredProven ability to manage scope, budget, and schedule of technical tasksProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteKnowledge of Deltek Vision is a plusEffective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task effectivelySolid problem solverTravel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be required SALARY RANGE:

$67,000 - $75,000

 

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
