Toll Brothers, our nation's luxury home builder, seeks a Assistant Purchasing Manager for Toll Integrated Systems (TIS), our wholly-owned component manufacturing company, located in Morrisville, Pennsylvania.

 

What is the opportunity?

 

Responsible for sourcing inventory products as well as developing new suppliers to ensure required inventory needs are met without causing shortages or overstock issues.

 

What are the primary responsibilities?

Procurement of contracted inventory products Rail logistics/ car placements, demurrage/transfer coordination between plantsContract preparation/confirmationsVendor sourcing, negotiation sessionsNon inventory Purchasing, and inventory controlMaintaining operating levels of suppliesAnalyze bids Review invoicesIdentify companies’ futures needs and forward bought products for savingsAudit responsibilities Conduct routine supplier business reviews, evaluating supplier performance and complianceNegotiate contracts with builder trades for new communities and replacement within existing communitiesUnderstand how to read architecture plansMaintained model, elevation, and option budgets for communitiesUnderstanding Rough Carpentry, House Wrap, & Window scopes of work

Do you have these qualifications?

Essential:Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Construction Management or Supply Chain Management (or extensive experience in the residential homebuilding industry)Minimum 3 years of experience in contracting and negotiating pricing of building materials or some experience in the residential building sectorWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel, and aptitude to learn new software programs (E1)Preferred:Hands-on residential construction experienceSupply Chain certificationExperience with EnterpriseOne (E1) and BuildPro softwareExperience with Energy Star requirements, Green Building concepts, sustainability, etc.
