Assistant Research Scientist/Scholar (Part-Time, Non-Exempt) - Saurabh Lab

The Department of Chemistry at New York University (NYU) is seeking a part-time Assistant Research Scientist/Scholar from March to July 2025 to contribute to ongoing research projects in the lab of Dr. Saumya Saurabh. This position will involve experimental work, data analysis, and assisting in manuscript preparation.
Responsibilities:
+ Conduct laboratory experiments as part of a research project.
+ Maintain accurate records of experiments and data.
+ Assist in analyzing results and preparing reports.
+ Work collaboratively with other team members and participate in lab meetings.
+ Assist in manuscript preparation and presentations as needed.
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the base salary for this position is $21 per hour for 22 hours per week. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.
+ A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biophysics, or a related field.
+ Previous research experience in a laboratory setting.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Experience with experimental techniques relevant to the research field.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
