JOB PURPOSE: 

Assist with the day to day operation of the Restaurant Division which includes Beaver Brothers Café (Sit-down restaurant and patio bar) and the Team Six Café (Employee Cafeteria), Pizza in the Square and Woody’s Café. Follow Restaurant budgets pertaining to labor, food cost and operating expenses to achieve company goals. Execute within the highest standards of quality, guest service and sanitization.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist with overseeing the day to day operation of all restaurant operations both front of house and back of houseProvide first class guest service to our guestsAssure that all issues (team member or guest) are resolved quickly. Log and report necessary issues to the Restaurant Supervisor.Assist with coordinating daily ordering with Unit Leads for each location.Responsible for weeklyAssist with ensuring liquor controls are being executedAssist with preparing master schedule for all Restaurant team members (Beaver Brother’s, Pizza in the Square, Employee Café, Woody’s Cafe) in accordance with labor laws and budgetCoordinate with Scheduling Coordinator on the hiring, orientation, and placement of team members and the Food Service Supervisor on training of each team member.Develop and encourage high team member morale and communication between team membersPromote a positive work environment.Monitor food production in kitchensMonitor food costs and assist in the development of menu items to achieve budgeted goals.Monitor food equipment to ensure proper operation and maintenance.Follow and enforce all Six Flags Darien Lake, state, and federal labor laws and policies and procedures.Maintain sanitation, cleanliness, safety and food standards in compliance with health department, legal and company standards/guidelines, and ensure adherence by all team members.All other duties assigned or necessary to support the park as a whole and the Food and Beverage department. Management reserves the right to add or remove duties when circumstances dictate.Responsible for making sure all team members comply with the company values and are completing our mission.Practice safety methods, and techniques to ensure work areas are safe. Eliminate unsafe physical conditions, equipment, and machine hazards, and other risks in human and operational performance which may cause injury to persons, damage to property, or cause other losses. Ensure that any team member that is injured reports the injury to First Aid immediately.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum age is 18Supervisory experience in a Full Service Restaurant/banquet/mass feeding settingsMust be able to work holidays and weekendsHigh school diploma or equivalent is requiredValid NYS motor vehicle operator’s licenseAbility to work in a fast paced environment and maintain a positive attitudeTeam playerOrganized and detail orientedGood communication skills, both written and oralAbility to plan and organize work in an efficient and cost-effective manner and without direct supervisionFood Safety course is a plusAlcohol serving awareness course is a plus

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

Any and all other duties that is assigned or necessary in order to support the Revenue Department and the park as a whole.
