As an integral member of the sales team, the Assistant Sales Engineer will provide essential customer service and administrative support. This includes handling inbound and outbound communications, generating quotes, and ensuring accurate documentation of product information and sales processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in sales and the ability to learn quickly and adapt to new challenges. **Location:** Valley Cottage, NY (On-site) **Hours:** Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 4:30 PM **Salary Range:** $55,000 - $62,000 (commensurate with experience) **Key Responsibilities:** **Product Knowledge & Customer Interaction:** + Develop a thorough understanding of our products and their applications. + Make sales calls to customers to discuss product usage, identify needs, and provide solutions, while documenting all interactions. **Sales Support & Customer Service:** + Handle inbound and outbound phone calls, respond to customer emails, take orders, and escalate issues when needed. + Generate accurate quotes based on customer needs and specifications. + Email quotes, product literature, and safety data sheets to customers as required. **Administrative Support:** + Maintain organized records of customer interactions, quotes, and orders. + Provide additional support for any other sales-related administrative tasks. **Qualifications:** + High school diploma or equivalent. + Prior experience in a sales support or administrative role is preferred. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). + Typing speed of 40 words per minute or higher. + Strong arithmetic skills for accurate pricing and order management. + Ability to quickly learn product knowledge and apply it to address customer needs. + Excellent customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction. + Self-motivated and a team player who contributes to the success of the group. **Benefits:** + Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Paid Time Off, and Paid Holidays.
